I hate having to keep stating when displaying my paintings for sale that this is not a print,  but some people don't know the difference between an original painting and basically a photograph of a painting,
the effort that went into buying the watercolour paper that is good enough to paint watercolour on its a nightmare, you cannot just click on any old paper on ebay and order it hoping that its going to be good enough and not curl up when you apply water to it,
you have to feel the thickness ect, also the same is to be said for the brushes that you are using, until you put them into water you dont know what they are going to be like and weather they will be  good enough or not unless you buy them from a reputable supplier and always pay the top prices,
when purchasing paint you have to take the manufactures word that it is not going to fade and that it is a top quality paint that you are using, so after sourcing all of these materials you still have to paint your masterpiece so next time you see an original painting spare a thought for all the effort it has taken to complete this work of art
